Opening Business and I wonder what the cost I can use?

3

I am opening an online business website design. (established LLC, I am the sole owner) Should I keep receipts from all business related expenses? Or would it be my business to be considered a hobby, if I do a certain amount of money in that I am filing.
What kinds of things can I set off on my business? (dinners, gasoline, etc.) Do we need a separate business credit card or bank account of the costs?
Do I need to accept payments towards the company's services business accounts, or they may carry out on-the payment directly to me?

Expenses directly related to running the company can be recovered. If you have a home office, you can write off part of the cost of the mortgage / rent and utilities, if you meet the requirements of having a separate area just work. If you want to try this, I suggest hiring a professional tax accountant. They can tell you what you need to set up and documents to tax problems later. Although with a professional, do not be surprised if you receive notification of the inspection. Good tax accountant will go to you to explain that it is entitled to deduct.
Gas, the cost can be forgiven only if you are making a issue or meeting the customer's business. You must keep records of mileage here. Dinners would only be forgiven if it is the company dinner. Since you have set the company formed LLC, payments should be made to the company, and you pay for themselves, such as employee (salary, commission, bonus, etc.) You should be a separate bank account, credit card, but the company is not a necessity. You can buy supplies and other things are in the business itself, and will reimburse you the cost.

The best thing is to hire an accountant who knows a lot about the subject to start the business. They have all the information need to start your business properly. Another thing is to invest in QuickBooks, with very little effort you can handle all the recording functions.

You must keep accurate records of when running a business. This is the best defense, if ever audited.
The IRS, you must make a profit in every 3 out of 5 years from the IRS indicates that you are not running the business. Otherwise, it is yours prove that you do business and a hobby. To prove that you are keeping the business to business accounts and personal accounts are different.
You can write off any legitimate business expenses including dinners with clients, car expenses, equipment, etc.
Having a separate checking account and credit card is a good idea. However, it is not necessary. You can comingle business and personal expenses using personal accounts. But if you do this, it is difficult to prove that you are taking the business.
Your income, you do not have business accounts, so you can deposit. We need only to make deposits in their own separate account that you use for business.
You can read Publication 334 for more information.
