I use it for recording lectures, and it is an improvement over the built in computer microphone. Not the best sound quality but great bang for your buck and easy to use, just plug it in.

My built-in lap top mike did not work well with Skype. I bought this flexible stem mike and also a clip on lapel mike. They both work. I prefer the clip on lapel mike because with the little clip on mike I don’t feel like I am talking into a mike.

This is a great little microphone for the money, and I recommend it.
It is not the best, nor should it be for the money, but it worked well and loaded easily and my friends were easily able to use it to talk to me.

Mini 3. 5mm Flexible Microphone for PC/Laptop/Skype
It is what it is – a basic little mic with a nice stiff gooseneck. Works perfectly for video chat purposes. I wouldn’t do pro podcasts with it or anything, but it has a pretty good amount of pickup for its size. Keep in mind that it is quite directional, so keep it pointed at your mouth hole and it should work dandy.
